Nassau cruise port, in one paragraph
The Nassau Cruise Port sits on Prince George Wharf, at the edge of downtown Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. It is one of the busiest cruise ports in the world, and several ships can be alongside at the same time. You walk off the pier straight into town: no tender, no shuttle.
Swimming with the pigs from Nassau
The famous swimming pigs of the Exumas are a flight or a long boat ride away. From the Nassau cruise port, the realistic version is Rose Island, about 19 km east by boat, where several operators run half-day trips with the pigs, a beach stop and snorkeling. Book one that guarantees the return to the pier before all aboard.

Where do cruise ships dock in Nassau?
At the Nassau Cruise Port, on Prince George Wharf, right on the edge of downtown Nassau. Several ships can be alongside at once, and you walk straight off the pier into town: Bay Street, the Straw Market and Junkanoo Beach are all within a few minutes on foot.
What can I do in Nassau without an excursion?
A lot, on foot. Junkanoo Beach is the closest beach to the pier, the Straw Market and the Pirates of Nassau Museum are a short walk away, and the Queen's Staircase and Fort Fincastle are about fifteen minutes up the hill. Cable Beach, Cabbage Beach and Atlantis on Paradise Island need a taxi or a water taxi.
How far is Atlantis from the Nassau cruise port?
About 1.5 km in a straight line, across the harbour on Paradise Island. You get there by taxi over the bridge or by water taxi from the port. A day pass is needed for most of the resort's facilities.
