About · Patrice

Hi, I'm Patrice. The Québécois who lives in Roatán year-round.

Travel agent, tour guide, PADI divemaster, underwater photographer, and drone pilot — based full-time in Roatán, Honduras. I guide and plan trips in English, French & Spanish, and I'm the go-to resident contact for travelers and travel agencies. My job: making sure your trip goes smoothly, from hotel selection to your last excursion.

My Story

From Quebec to Roatán

My name is Patrice Bouffard. I'm a Québécois travel agent by training, and I planted my roots on the island of Roatán, Honduras, because I found everything a traveler could want here: the second-largest coral reef in the world, warm people, and a pace of life that makes every day better than the last.

Today I live here year-round. I know the hotels personally, I guide excursions myself, I dive the best sites every week — and I do it all in your own language, English, French or Spanish, for travelers who deserve better than a generic tour sold from a cruise ship dock.

My Roles

Many hats, one mission

Serve every traveler in Roatán, in English, French or Spanish — from start to finish.

Travel Agent

I handle your complete package: accommodation, flights, excursions, transfers — in your own language, with no agency fees beyond the negotiated price.

Tour Guide

I personally lead Tuesday (snorkeling), Wednesday (brewery + sloths), and Friday (Pigeon Cay) excursions.

PADI Divemaster

Certified, I dive and snorkel the Mesoamerican Reef every week. Safety first, fun always.

Underwater Photographer

The photos you see on this site are mine. Turtles, nurse sharks, shipwrecks — captured free diving and on scuba.

Drone Pilot

The aerial views of Pigeon Cay, West Bay, and Barbareta are from my flights. Videos and photos available on request.

Quebec–Honduras Bridge

On-ground 365 days per year — the only permanent resident Canadian travel agent on the island that I know of, working with you in English, French or Spanish.

Why a Local Guide Matters

The right guide changes everything

When you arrive in Roatán, most excursions are sold the same way: big groups, rushed schedules, and a dock guide you'll never see again. The cultural details and the best hidden spots slip right past you.

With a resident who has lived here since 2014 — and who guides you in your own language, English, French or Spanish — the day is different. You actually understand what you're seeing, you ask every question freely, and you follow a route built around you, not a bus timetable.

That's why Roatan Québécois exists: a small private group, a full briefing in the language you're comfortable in, honest local advice, and the freedom to just enjoy the island. Your vacation — not survival mode.

I also handle full trips and all-inclusive packages. Tell me your dates, and I'll find you the best deal.

Trust

Why trust me

On-ground 365 days/year

Not a remote agent. I live the island daily — the hotels, local guides, weather, seasonal changes.

4.5/5 on Trustpilot

22 verified reviews from satisfied travelers. No bots, no spin.

Quick Response

On Messenger, I typically reply in under 30 minutes — in English, French or Spanish, and it's me (not a call center).

Free Request, Zero Commitment

Asking for a price costs nothing and commits you to nothing. No payment until you're 100% satisfied with the package.
