What are the best snorkeling tours in Roatán?
On a budget of time, West Bay is the classic: a calm reef wall just offshore. My half-day West Bay snorkeling tour takes you to West End Wall, Texas and Turtle Crossing by boat. For a bigger day, Pigeon Cay adds a shipwreck, wild reefs and the nurse sharks.
Is it safe to swim with the nurse sharks at Pigeon Cay?
Yes. Nurse sharks are bottom-feeding, non-aggressive and used to snorkelers. You float at the surface while they cruise the sandbar below. I brief everyone before we get in, and you stay with me the whole time.
Do I need to know how to dive?
No — every excursion is snorkeling, not diving, so anyone comfortable floating with a mask can join. I bring masks and fins, and I help first-timers get confident in calm water before we move to the better spots. (I'm a certified Divemaster, so if you do want to dive, just ask.)
What is there to do in Roatán if I don’t love snorkeling?
The Friday island tour is built for you: beach clubs, the Roatan Island Brewery for lunch and craft beer, and an eco park with sloths, monkeys and parrots. Snorkeling on that day is optional, so non-snorkelers get a full day too.
Can you pick me up from a cruise ship or my hotel?
Yes. Tell me where you're staying (or your cruise port and ship departure time) in the form and I'll arrange pickup and a guaranteed return before your ship leaves.
How do I book and pay?
Fill out the form below — I receive your request immediately and reply fast, usually within 30 minutes. A 50% deposit locks your date; the balance is paid on the day.
