How to walk out of Coxen Hole on a Royal Caribbean port day
The Port of Roatán is laid out as a maze of duty-free shops, the Town Center, and the layout
is not an accident: it is built so you spend before you reach the street. Getting past it is
simple once you know the line to walk.
- Off the gangway, cross the Town Center buildings following the EXIT signs.
- Keep going past the shops and the mass-excursion sellers.
- Head for the port’s main gates, signed Gate 1 or Main Gate.
- Through the gate, follow the road down with the cemetery on your left until it meets the
main street. Cross at the crosswalk: I am on the sidewalk in front of the long grey
concrete building, in a green and black bandana, with a sign with your name on it. Message me on Messenger or WhatsApp before your call and I will send you a photo, so you know exactly who you are looking for.
Two or three minutes of walking, and you have skipped the part of the day Royal Caribbean sells you.
