Roatán All-Inclusive Resorts — the honest local guide
Thinking of an all-inclusive trip to Roatán? Here's the truth from someone who lives on the island: the real resorts, the honest vibe, how to get here from the US and Canada. I build a package around you, in English, French or Spanish.
All-inclusive in Roatán: what to actually expect
If your reference is Cancún or Punta Cana, reset your expectations — in a good way. Roatán does not have 1,000-room mega-resorts. What it has is smaller, beachfront properties on the best beach in the Caribbean, steps from the second-largest coral reef in the world.
"All-inclusive" here usually means a resort room plus a meal-and-drinks plan I arrange for you (not a giant walled compound). That's the point: you're on a real island, a two-minute walk from the reef, not sealed off from it. And because I live here and book directly, I build a custom quote for you.
West Bay: where Roatán's all-inclusive resorts actually are
Almost every West Bay all-inclusive resort sits on the same two-kilometre stretch of white sand at the western tip of the island. That is not a coincidence, and it is the single most useful thing to understand before you book: the reef comes to the beach here. You walk in from the sand and you are snorkelling over living coral in waist-deep water, no boat required.
It matters for an all-inclusive in particular. On most Caribbean islands the resort strip and the good water are two different places, so you pay for excursions to reach what you came for. On West Bay you are already there. That is why the beachfront properties below — Infinity Bay, Mayan Princess, Henry Morgan — are the three names that come up again and again, and why I send most travellers here rather than to the quieter east end.
The honest trade-off: West Bay is the busiest beach on Roatán. On a heavy cruise-ship day the public stretch fills up between roughly 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Staying on West Bay is precisely how you avoid that — you have your own beach section, and the crowd is gone by late afternoon while you are still there.
Roatán's all-inclusive resorts, honestly compared
- Infinity Bay Spa & Beach Resort — West Bay's beachfront favorite: spacious villas, an infinity pool facing the sea, reef right off the sand. 4.6★. The one most of my travelers love.
- Mayan Princess Beach & Dive Resort — a smaller 4★ right on West Bay Beach, with snorkeling and diving straight from shore.
- Henry Morgan Beach Resort — a solid all-inclusive on West Bay, and the most common Sunwing package hotel.
- Media Luna Resort (now Sol by Meliá) — a renovated 4★ on the quieter east coast, with a swim-up reef, spa and diving.
- Fantasy Island Beach Resort — 🔥 closed since the fire of March 2, 2026. The private island and the dive centre were spared, but much of the resort has to be rebuilt. They are aiming for December 2026, though nothing is confirmed yet. Here is what burned and what was saved — message me before booking anything here and I will tell you where it really stands.
Not sure which fits your trip? See where to stay in Roatán, area by area, or just tell me who's traveling and I'll match you to the right one.

What a Roatán all-inclusive actually costs
Live fares from my wholesaler, surveyed this week. Total price per person, taxes and the FICAV contribution included, with the date each one was pulled. These are Canadian departures — Montréal, Québec City, Toronto and Ottawa — so the dates you can pick depend on what flies from Canada.
Direct flights to Roatan Honduras
If you are looking for Roatan direct flights, the international airport is Juan Manuel Gálvez (RTB), a short drive from West Bay. Here is how to find a direct flight to Roatan depending on where you're flying from:
- From the US: you will find direct flights to Roatan from United States hubs. For example, there are direct flights from Houston to Roatan (United), direct flights from Miami to Roatan (American), and direct flights from Atlanta to Roatan (Delta, seasonal). These are the most reliable gateways for direct flights to Roatan from USA.
- From Canada: big news for 2026-27 — Air Canada launches its first direct flights to Roatan from Canada starting December 12, 2026 (Saturdays from Montreal, Sundays from Toronto). Sunwing runs charters and packages from Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto; WestJet also offers direct flights from Toronto to Roatan. If you are searching for flights to Roatan from Toronto, flights from Ottawa to Roatan Honduras, or just wondering about the Toronto to Roatan flight time (around 5 hours), I can help you find the perfect Roatan all inclusive from Toronto or Ottawa package.
What about Air Transat? A lot of Quebec travellers ask, because Transat used to be the obvious way south. As of the winter 2025-26 season, Air Transat states on its own Roatán page that flights to Roatán will not be offered. So if you have seen a Transat Roatán page and wondered whether it still runs — that is your answer, and it is theirs, not mine. Air Canada, Sunwing and WestJet are the live Canadian options right now.
You can book flight-only and let me handle the hotel and transfers, or I'll put the whole package together — flight, resort, airport transfers and excursions, one price, one contact. That is what people mean when they search for an all-inclusive with airfare included. Just tell me your departure city and dates.
Roatán vs Cancún, Cuba & the Dominican
The other Caribbean all-inclusive destinations are great for big resorts and nightlife. But if what you want is the water, Roatán wins on the thing that matters most: it sits on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second-largest in the world.
Calmer seas, better visibility, a reef you can reach by swimming off the beach, world-class diving and snorkeling, fewer crowds, and a real island culture instead of a resort strip. Plenty of my travelers who've "done" Cancún or Cuba tell me Roatán is the one they come back to. Once you're here, my guided excursions show you the rest of it.
Best time to travel to Roatán
Roatán is warm year-round (25–30 °C / 77–86 °F). The dry, sunny season runs January to August, and January to April is the sweet spot — the best weather, the calmest seas for snorkeling, and the most reliable direct flights. September to December sees more rain (heaviest in October–November), but also the greenest island and quieter resorts.
No fixed dates? Even better — send me a window and I'll pull the cheapest travel dates for you.
